The Lafayette Township, PA, Volunteer Fire Department responded to this early-morning fire on Sept. 26, 2002. The rural wood-frame structure was fully involved upon arrival. Firefighters were hampered by a lack of water supply. The occupant of the home was treated for smoke inhalation. Four additional fire departments responded and worked for several hours to extinguish the blaze.
Bradberry became separated from a hoseline while operating at a house fire on Dec. 3, 2003. No injuries were suffered. See pages 50-51 for the details.

Dedication

This month's Firehouse® is dedicated to Firefighter Robert Feeney, 42, of the Long Branch, NJ, Fire Department; Assistant Chief Thomas E. Andersen, 48, of the Surfside Beach, SC, Fire Department; and Firefighter Dustin "Dusty" Schwendeman, 26, of the Dunham Township, OH, Volunteer Fire Department, who died in the line of duty, January 2002.
