March 1995 cover

On This Month's Cover:

While two multiple-alarm fires raged in the New York City borough of Queens, companies from other sections of the city relocated to cover empty firehouses. Within the same hour, Tower Ladder 18 from Manhattan transmitted a second-alarm on arrival for a fire in a wood-frame dwelling in the Corona section, where firefighters from Engine 210 are shown operating a handline to protect a nearby exposure. Numerous outside streams were operated in an exterior attack. Two civilians and three firefighters were injured.
